On Sunday, March 2, 2014 the Eta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Oak Lawn, Illinois hosted the TORCH Class of 2014 Spring Class' Neophyte. As the wind whipped and the temperature outside dipped, the nine Neophytes prepared for their presentation to the chapter. In attendance were numerous Sorors', young and old, but the pearls of the show were: Arica R. Brazil, Treasa Collins, Sabrina Jones, Sandra Means, Rolanda Parks, Nicole Robinson, Rondia Ross, Ashley Stewart, and Karen Miller. The Neophytes were formally inducted into the Sorority on February 15, 2014.

The Neophyte began around 1pm, and shortly after dinner was served the nine Neophytes showcased their pride and joy for Sigma Gamma Rho. The skit sought to take guests back in time to the Founders' initial meeting and forming of the Sorority. It included songs such as the Aretha Franklin's "Respect," the Sorority's Hymn, and a "Song for Sigma." In addition to this, the Neophytes also performed the Sigma chant, and the Pretty Poodle stroll. The Neophytes did an amazing job. However, perhaps the real surprise came after the Sorors' presentation was over. Each of the nine Sorors' were drenched in blue and gold treasures, and the amount truly exceeded their expectations. As Soror Parks stated, "This day was wonderful! It was worth every minute of practice, and hard work! I am so grateful for each one of my Sorors', because I am my Sister's Keeper." It was a truly royal days for the nine new Sorors' of Eta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter.
